Puppy pedigree....in pictures
Choosing a stud dog is always a challenge. I showed this dog, "Summit," to Grand Futurity in Kentucky. Later that week I also piloted him to Reserve Winner's Dog at the Samoyed Club of America's National Specialty. I love the dog, love how he moves, and he moved ME the first time I saw him, which not a lot of dogs do! It takes something very special...
When you love a dog, the rule is to breed to his sire....
So the choice to sire Paris' puppies turned to Ch Hawkwind's Alabaster Carrara, shown here going Best of Breed (both days) over BISS specials for majors in Minnesota.
Alabaster is a rock used for carving statues of perfection, and Carrara is the quarry where the marble for Michaelangelo's David was mined.
The logistics to getting to this dog had it's complications as a lot of the Hawkwind dogs are not at public stud, and certainly not this one. But we got through the red tape and the babies are here! I'm very excited!

Paris Puppies Arrive!
Born September 8, 2008! 4 girls and 1 boy! Paris is enjoying motherhood ... and all the food and ice cream and yogurt and cold milk she can eat!

A lot goes into researching a breeding. This one is to capture some of the power of Paris' sire, Ch Wintermist's Just Bearly, the son of National Specialty Winning Ch Echo's To Die For and group winning Ch Arctic Mist's Sound Barrier. This pedigree linebreeds on Ch Wolf River's Drumlin and his sisters.
We're blending in a full Wolf River pedigree from Hawkwind; Ch Hawkwind's Alabaster Carrara, a male from an all champion litter also linebred on Ch Wolf River's Drumlin and Ch Wolf River's Terra (and her brother).
